• These are souls, stories, and assets that breathe life, culture, and beauty into our city.
  

Problem:

• Many of these immigrants and refugees lack hospitable welcome, support, and connection to our culture.

Solution:

• Create a network of individuals and organizations willing to assist the immigrant and refugee through personal connections, professional opportunities, and a variety of other assistance to best care for 26,000 foreign-born friends.
  

Strategy:

• Asset-map all immigrants and refugee champions in Greater Dayton

• Mobilize community members (via civic organizations and churches) to join volunteer wraparound teams to collectively care for immigrant families and communities.

• Engage in other community-based activities:

  • Populate Ethnosh Restaurant Directory and support immigrant-run restaurants with individual and collective purchasing. (like this)

  • Record and circulate immigrant stories (podcast and video) to break-down internal barriers.

• Continue to engage specialists in housing, workforce development, education, etc. alongside local entities.
