Vision: Every retiree is living their Encore Chapter in a thriving community that isn't just retiring, they are "ReFiring".
Mission: Help retirees ReFire in strong and healthy community.
Strategy: Convening pre-retirees and retirees and surfacing their needs and dreams. We help them connect with each other so to live out one' legacy filled with purpose and play.
Problems:
Those who have retired are reported to have higher rates of loneliness and isolation, and are lacking of meaningful activity.
The wisdom, energy, and capacity of this population is vital to transforming our city.
There is a lack of awareness for all the different opportunities to engage in high-meaning community for this population.
Provider or Practitioner = any person, business, or community-builder who cares about the well-being of an older population and is helping them to solve problems within one or multiple dimensions of wellness.
Strategy:
Core Team of providers begin meeting to grow trusting relationships.
Map, categorize, and make available all providers, opportunities, and events that aid the 55 + community.
Gather those who are in or nearing or in retirement (2 times a year) to expose opportunities, make connections and build community.
Between large group gatherings, refired individuals be active in smaller communities to heal, grow, meet needs, and contribute to others.
