Transforming Dayton One Table At a Time

Problems:

We are disconnected from each other.

Our silos keep us busy. Our suspicion keeps us protective. Our screens keep us distracted. We often find it difficult to go more than an inch deep to find common ground. We don't fully know ourselves or others. We are inefficient. Societal and organizational problems loom heavy. There is a haunting in our lives to develop real community around real conversation.

Bridge-builders and conveners are scarce.

Solution:

Slowing down and coming together around a table. Connecting over common values. Transforming oneself in community with others.

Transformation Tables.

Get into a table. 6 people. 6 weeks. 1 hour a week.

Goal:

Get 8,000 people in Dayton through a transformation table.

That's the tipping point for transformation.

Strategy:

  1. Find the right person and team to multiply transformation tables

    1. Review this job description and apply if interested in this mission

  2. Raise funds for salary and materials to sustain and grow position

  3. Use interest form to gather table interest and availability

  4. Create website and promo materials

  5. Gather the existing Tables Champions to strategize multiplication

  6. Track and Celebrate all milestones

  7. Gather information and stories of all people completing a table

  8. Get to 8,000 people in tables so the John Maxwell Foundation can begin gather outcome research for city transformation

6 people. 6 weeks. 1 hour a week. Transform Your Life and Others.
